tell的基本用法
1、tell做動詞,意為「告訴,告訴」其後可接雙賓語或賓語從句。也可能接動詞不定式作賓補。
例句：
Please tell me your telephone number.請告訴我你的德律風號碼。
You can tell him to stay at home.你可能告訴他呆在家裡。
2、tell做不及物動詞,意為講訴。
例句：
I can't tell.我說不出來。
3、tell做名詞,意為「話,傳說」。
例句：
I have a tell for you.我有話跟你說。
tell相幹短語及例句
1、tell about(v.+prep.) 告訴有關…的情況 tell about sb/sth
例句：
She told about Linda, who was very kind to her.她談了談林達的情況,林達對她非常好。
He told about his plans.他談到他的打算。
2、tell against(v.+prep.) 證明對…倒黴 tell against sb/sth
例句：
In an investigation, a new fact became known, which told against him.在考察中新發明白一件對他倒黴的現實。

3、tell apart(v.+adv.) 辨別開 tell sb/sth apart
闡明：tell apart平日不必於停止體。

4、tell from(v.+prep.) 辨別 tell sb/sth from sb/sth
